Happy Sunday!
This weeks ramble is a cute Edward Bowden built cottage. It was built in 1836 featuring 6 panel cedar doors, a fan light at the grand entrance and cedar window frames with reeding and bulls eye engraving. Internal timber stairs lead to a small attic area offering a third bedroom or private studio.
The cottage is located in the country town of Bothwell. Nearby is 'Ratho' Australia's oldest golf course and golf museum, the 'Nant Whisky' distillery housed in a former water powered flour mill built in 1857 and is the gateway to world class fresh water fishing and hunting in the Highlands of central Tasmania.
Until next time
