Real Estate Ramblings

First off today I have the historic property of 'Breadalbane', built in 1865. This is the 2nd time the property has been for sale in almost 150 years. It is need of some TLC and restoring but the original floor plan is still there so transforming it back to it's glory should be a piece of cake! The house is a red brick homestead with full length verandas. All the original timber fireplace mantels and in tact and the kitchen boasts an 'Aga' cast iron stove. The grounds also have a new red brick home which comprises of four bedrooms. A perfect place to stay while you bring the old home back to life. The homes are nestled on 20 acres of dirt so there is also the option of a horse or 2 or even some cows to create a real county feel. For more info head here!

Next is this quaint block fronted home also comes with off street parking. The house is the walking distance of just about everything in Prahran. Find out more here.

All I can say about this is who would like a blank slate! This property was once a shop and has since been rezoned by the local council as residential. To find out more go here

It's time for something modern that just needs moving into. I'm generally not a huge fan of contemporary homes because they all the same and have no character, this one is the exception. The house is filled with timber, stone, steel and glass. To find out more go here.

Lastly for this week I have a country home with a serious Mediterranean feel. The house has been constructed out of stone on the eastern side of Mount Alexander. Polished Cypress Pine timber flooring can be found throughout. All of the doors and windows have been custom built for the home also. For a further touch of luxury your enter the property via a tree lined drive. To find out more go here.

Until next time
