The weekend is over again, boo hoo! On a happier note it means it's time for some more real estate. First off this week I have "Prospect Villa". The sandstone house was built in 1824 in the Tasmanian village of Hamilton. Be careful with this one though, it's registered with the National Trust. See more here.
Next is the former Presbytery in the southern Tasmanian town of Franklin. The house sits on 2343m2 block that looks over the Huon River. The house has had a few renovations but is still in need of a few more. See here for more.
We head north next to 'The Willows' in the town of Westbury. The house was built in 1837 and features 170 year old oaks, elms, cedars, aspens, walnuts, maples, beech and golden ash trees. On the grounds is a lake which is home to platypus. To find out more head here.
Next I bring you one of the oldest homes in Cygnet, a 1890 weatherboard farm house. The property has retained many of its original features including hand split floor boards, grand hallway, expected high ceilings and original fireplaces. To find out more, go here.
Last but not least for this week is a sandstone church in Bagdad. The property hasn't been a church for a few years and has since been transformed into a home. Find out more about the church here.
Until next time
